SWAN Vancouver Wireframes

SWANVancouver.ca is a site designed to make it easy and confidential for women sex workers in Vancouver to find answers to important Safety, Health, Legal and other questions online.

These wireframes were created as part of a group project in my Applied Project Management class in college.

In designing the SWANVancouver.ca interface, I had to keep a couple of things in mind:

  • The site's main purpose is to provide easy access to important information, it should always be one click away
  • Some of the women that access this site may not speak English, it should be easy for them to see if their is content available in their language
  • The wireframes needed detailed descriptions of the site's functionality. The client had to be happy with the plan for the site before it was built, and the other project members needed to be on the same page of how the site would function so they could implement their part of the project independently (and accurately)

ScoreKeeper Wireframes

ScoreKeeper is a prototype web application for allowing users to quickly and easily enter data for, and track all of the different  "scores" in their life like amounts, numbers, distances, times, scores, weights, etc.

These are the accompanying wireframes for ScoreKeeper, and their purpose was to help myself design, and develop the app as a sole developer, hence they have less technical documentation than if they were to be used by another person.

In designing the interface for this app I kept the following in mind:

  • I am designing for busy people; if they are going to take the time to use my app, it has to be simple
  • Users should be able to see at-a-glance how much each of their scores has changed over the past week or month without having to click around
  • Since the App is for busy people, it should have a "shallow" structure, meaning that there are not many layers that a user has to go through to access the most important functionality
